From Small Town to Super App — How Doxlib Is Digitizing Local Healthcare

In India, ordering food or booking a cab takes a few taps — but getting medicines or an ambulance still feels like a race against time. That’s the problem Doxlib, a young startup from West Bengal, has set out to solve.

Founded under DTSolutionz (OPC) Private Limited in 2025 by Piyali Roy and Purnendu Mukherjee, Doxlib is building India’s first hyperlocal healthcare super app, designed to connect patients with nearby pharmacies, ambulances, doctors, labs, and blood donors – all within 30 minutes.

A Mission Born from Experience

The idea took shape in 2023, when Piyali and Purnendu realized how difficult it was for people in small towns to get timely medical help. “We saw how families in rural areas struggled for something as simple as getting a strip of medicine or an ambulance at night,” recalls Piyali. “That’s when Doxlib was born — from necessity.”

A Different Kind of Health App

While big health-tech companies like 1mg or NetMeds rely on centralized warehouses and urban logistics, Doxlib takes a completely local approach.

  • Medicines come from nearby pharmacies, not distant depots.
  • Ambulances are booked directly from local drivers.
  • Labs and doctors are matched by proximity and availability.
  • Blood donors can be connected to seekers in real time.

This means faster service, genuine connections, and a lifeline for local providers who often get left behind in the digital race.

Empowering Local Heroes

Doxlib runs on a partner-based ecosystem, where pharmacies, lab owners, and ambulance operators earn directly through the app.

“Every transaction on Doxlib supports a small business,” says Purnendu. “We want to make healthcare accessible while helping people at the grassroots earn better.”

Growing from Local to National

Currently live in Bagnan, West Bengal, Doxlib has already onboarded more than 10 healthcare partners and is serving hundreds of early users.

By 2027, the company aims to expand across India, adding features like AI-powered health prediction, teleconsultation, and real-time stock tracking for pharmacies.

Technology with a Human Touch

In a time when healthcare apps are often impersonal, Doxlib stands out for being human-first. It’s not just about quick delivery — it’s about bringing trust and accessibility to every corner of India.

As the founders put it: “Healthcare should be as simple as booking a cab — but with compassion at its core.”
