The Ahmedabad Metro Elevated Project achieved major recognition at the 9th Global Safety Summit Awards 2022, where the project won the Environment Sustainability Award in the Construction Sector (Gujarat). The award was organised by the Fire and Safety Forum along with the United Nations Global Compact Network India as SDG Outreach Partner.
Further strengthening this achievement, the project also secured the Environment Social Governance (ESG) Excellence Award during the 10th Global Safety Summit Awards 2022 held in New Delhi. During the same event, Dr. Nisanth received individual recognition as the Best Environment Professional Award (Ahmedabad) for his outstanding contribution to environmental management and sustainability initiatives.
The project’s excellence continued with recognition at the 8th OSH India Awards 2022, where the Ahmedabad Metro Project won the Environment Management Construction Excellence Award and the Excellence in Employee Competence Award. In December 2022, the project once again achieved national recognition by winning the Environment Award (Large Enterprises – Construction Sector, Gujarat) at the Global Safety Summit Awards. During the same ceremony, Dr. Nisanth Thulasidas Madhavan was honoured with the Best Environment & Sustainability (ESG) Manager Award – Gujarat, recognising his leadership in driving sustainability initiatives within large-scale infrastructure projects.
The recognition journey continued into 2023 and 2024 through the prestigious Indian Green Awards. The Ahmedabad Metro Elevated Project received the National Level ESG Award, while Dr. Nisanth earned multiple individual honours including the Sustainability Champion Award, Green Yodha Award, and recognition under the ESG Platinum Award category.
