Beyond Marks: How Krishna More Is Redefining Mathematics Learning and Creating a Transformative Learning Environment

In a world where academic success is often measured through marks, ranks, and examination results, Krishna More believes education must aim for something deeper. For him, mathematics is not merely a subject to be studied for examinations—it is a powerful tool for developing logical thinking, reasoning, accuracy, problem-solving ability, and confidence.

With more than 14 years of experience in the education field across different boards, Krishna More has dedicated his journey to exploring better ways of teaching and learning mathematics. As a Vedic Mathematics Expert and Trainer, educator, author, and Founder & CEO of ARTH ASPIRE INSTITUTE, he is working toward creating a learning environment where students are encouraged not just to find answers, but to understand why an answer is correct.

The Problem Beyond the Classroom

For many students, mathematics becomes a subject associated with fear, confusion, and pressure. They may be able to memorise formulas and procedures, yet struggle when asked to apply concepts in an unfamiliar situation.

Krishna More believes that this is where traditional approaches to learning can fall short.

“The goal of education should not be limited to producing students who can score marks. It should develop students who can think, reason, apply and learn independently.”

This philosophy has shaped his approach to mathematics education and student development.

Rather than focusing exclusively on the final answer, his approach places importance on concept clarity, logical reasoning, thinking techniques, accuracy, and application.

From Mathematics Teaching to Learning Transformation

Over the years, Krishna More’s work has expanded beyond conventional classroom teaching. His focus has increasingly moved toward understanding how students learn and what influences their academic performance.

This thinking is reflected in the philosophy behind ARTH ASPIRE INSTITUTE, where ARTH represents:

A — Accuracy of Concepts
R — Reasoning with Logic
T — Technique of Thinking
H — Honours in Excellence

The philosophy is simple but powerful: when students develop strong concepts, logical reasoning, effective thinking techniques, and a commitment to excellence, academic performance becomes a consequence of meaningful learning rather than the only objective.

Making Mathematics More Meaningful

One of Krishna More’s key areas of expertise is Vedic Mathematics, which he uses as a way of introducing students to alternative mathematical techniques and encouraging flexibility in thinking.

His work also includes the Maths Mastery Module Workbook, developed to support structured mathematics learning and strengthen students’ engagement with mathematical concepts.

For Krishna, mathematics should not remain confined to textbooks.

It should help students develop a mindset that can be applied beyond mathematics—whether they are solving an academic problem, making a decision, analysing information, or approaching a challenge in everyday life.

Developing the Learner, Not Just the Score

This broader vision led to another initiative: the Brain Booster Activity Booklet (BBA).

The program is structured around progressive activities designed to work on areas such as focus, attention, coordination, controlled execution, speed, accuracy, and consistency.

The underlying idea is that academic performance is influenced by more than subject knowledge alone.

A student may understand a concept but struggle to perform consistently because of difficulties with attention, speed, accuracy, or controlled execution. By addressing these learning-related skills systematically, Krishna More aims to create a more holistic learning environment.

The BBA is structured across four progressive levels, with activities designed to move students from neural activation and bilateral coordination toward cognitive control and brain mastery.

Its central philosophy can be summed up simply:

“Train the Brain. Transform the Performance.”

Building a Learning Environment Where Students Can Grow

For Krishna More, meaningful education is not about putting additional pressure on students. It is about creating the right environment for them to learn.

A strong learning environment should encourage students to ask questions, make mistakes, understand concepts, practise deliberately, and gradually become independent learners.

This belief also connects with his broader educational initiatives, including programs focused on self-study, learning how to learn, personality development, and thinking skills.

His approach therefore extends beyond the question:

“Does the student understand?”
“Can the student apply?”
“Can the student think independently?”
“Can the student learn independently?”

A Vision Beyond Conventional Education

Through his work as an educator, author, trainer, and education entrepreneur, Krishna More continues to explore ways in which mathematics and learning can become more meaningful for students.

His vision is not to reject marks or examinations. Rather, it is to place them in their proper position—as one measure of learning, not the definition of learning itself.

The larger goal is to help create students who are not simply prepared to answer questions on an examination paper, but are prepared to think, solve problems, face challenges, and continue learning throughout life.

In an education system increasingly focused on outcomes, Krishna More is advocating for something more fundamental: better learning itself.

Because when the learning environment changes, the learner changes.

And when the learner changes, marks are no longer the destination—they become a result of meaningful learning.
