A Pencil Before a Camera
Long before social media became part of his journey, ten-year-old Vihaan Raul was already telling stories in a different way—with a pencil. Animals filled the pages of his sketchbooks, not because someone asked him to draw them, but because they fascinated him. Each illustration reflected a memory, an observation or a question inspired by the wildlife he loved learning about.
Drawing became more than a hobby. It became a way of slowing down, looking carefully and appreciating details that are often overlooked. A sketch encouraged him to notice the curve of an elephant’s trunk, the colours of a bird or the movement of fish inside an aquarium.
Where Stories Take Shape
As his interest in wildlife grew, storytelling naturally followed. A drawing would often become the beginning of an imagined adventure, while a travel experience might inspire an entirely new illustration. Instead of separating creativity from learning, Vihaan discovered that the two could work together.
Through his YouTube channel, Tales & Tails, and Instagram page, Vihzy Vibes, he shares stories influenced by travel, wildlife and imagination. His aim is not simply to entertain but to encourage children to become curious about the world around them.
Travel as Creative Inspiration
Family travel has expanded that creative world. Experiences with Singapore Airlines, Changi Airport and stays at respected hospitality brands including Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott, St. Regis and Taj Hotels have introduced him to new cultures and destinations. Yet the ideas he brings home are often inspired by nearby wildlife parks, aquariums, museums and nature trails.
Every destination contributes something different. A safari may inspire an elephant sketch. An aquarium may become the setting for a new story. A conversation with a guide may spark days of reading and research. Creativity, for Vihaan, is closely connected to exploration.
Building Vihaan’s WildQuest™
These experiences are gradually shaping a broader vision called Vihaan’s WildQuest™. Rather than being limited to social media, it represents a future platform where wildlife, creativity, educational travel and storytelling come together.
