How Personal Loss and Hard-Earned Lessons Inspired Himanshu Huriaa to Help Families Build a Secure and Independent Future
Success has many definitions. For Himanshu Huriaa, it is no longer measured by titles, income or possessions. It is measured by the ability to help people make decisions that are safe, structured and in their control.
Huriaa’s professional journey began as a Motor Technician. Over the next 21 years, he steadily built his career through hard work, honesty and a willingness to take responsibility. His journey eventually led him to become the Service Head at a Toyota dealership in Gurgaon, a position he considered one of his proudest achievements after overcoming numerous professional challenges.
But life had something far more important to teach him.
In 2009, the loss of his sister, Anju, changed the course of his life.
“Her passing made me realize that success means little if we don’t have time for the people who matter most,” says Huriaa.
The experience led him to step away from corporate life in search of something deeper β time freedom, financial independence and the opportunity to create a meaningful impact.
Like many entrepreneurs, his journey outside the corporate world brought both successes and setbacks. Along the way, Huriaa experienced broken promises, misplaced trust and financial losses. Those painful experiences taught him lessons that would eventually become the foundation of his life’s philosophy.
Protection First. Structure Second. Growth Third.
According to Huriaa, growth without protection can come at a heavy price.
Over time, he realized that creating a secure and independent future is not about chasing the highest returns or following the latest trends. It is about making informed decisions that remain within one’s control.
These lessons eventually led him into real estate.
Having personally experienced the consequences of poor advice and lack of standards, Huriaa became convinced that people need education more than they need persuasion.
Today, through Move Up Legacy, he is on a mission to help people create a secure and independent future through property decisions that are safe, structured and in their control.
While land, especially farm land, remains his preferred asset class because of its simplicity, limited supply and long-term potential, Huriaa believes every buyer is unique. His approach is not about selling a particular product but about helping people make decisions that align with their goals and circumstances.
As India moves towards becoming a developed nation and infrastructure continues to expand through expressways, airports, metro networks and improved connectivity, Huriaa believes opportunities will continue to emerge. But he also believes that opportunities should never come at the cost of peace of mind.
“I don’t want people to blindly trust others or get carried away by dreams sold through marketing,” he says. “I want them to understand, think and remain in control.”
One of his strongest beliefs is that making money is easy, but changing the way people think is much harder.
Grateful for the purpose he believes God has given him, Huriaa sees his work as something much bigger than property transactions.
His mission is simple:
To help people create a secure and independent future through property decisions that are safe, structured and in their control.
Years from now, Himanshu Huriaa hopes people will remember him not for the properties he sold, but for the trust he built.
And if they remember one thing, he hopes it is this:
“He never pushed us. He educated us. He helped us think. He helped us stay in control.”
