Meet Kanishq Raj: The Founder Connecting EV Owners to Chargers — and Turning Home Infrastructure Into Opportunity

In many parts of the globe, electric vehicles are quickly becoming the norm. The number of charging stations is rising, and governments are actively promoting their adoption, while people are gradually turning their backs on fossil fuels and shifting to cleaner sources of energy. In many emerging nations such as India, however, one of the major issues with electric cars is finding a place to charge their batteries.

Kanishq Raj, however, saw this not just as an issue but as an opportunity to revolutionize the status quo.

Kanishq Raj is the founder of Lotus Scientific Solutions, which operates two different ventures aimed at modernizing antiquated systems: ChargeHive EV and LotusFlowAI.

Kanishq’s vision is lofty: creating digital infrastructural systems that bring people, services, and goods together in industries that have not yet evolved beyond the 1990s.

A Global Upbringing That Shaped an Entrepreneur

Kanishq Raj’s entrepreneurial drive was not inspired by traditional entrepreneurial ventures but by his experiences in different parts of the globe.

Kanishq had an opportunity to study in different parts of the globe and was constantly moving from one school to another, from one country to another, and from one environment to another. While this may have been challenging for many people, it was not for Kanishq Raj.

Having had the opportunity to study in different parts of the globe, Kanishq saw different systems in different nations and experienced how different nations operated compared to one another.

While in some nations, different sectors had already adopted modern technologies and had made significant changes in their systems, in other nations, different sectors were still using traditional ways of doing things.

Kanishq Raj’s experiences in different parts of the globe made him look at things in a different way compared to many people.

Instead of seeing things as they were, Kanishq began to wonder and ask:

If it works in one place in the world, why not make it work in another?

This type of thinking, identifying gaps in different markets and bridging those gaps, would come in handy in his entrepreneurial journey.

Choosing Entrepreneurship Over Employment

KanishqRaj’s journey to becoming an entrepreneur was not one motivated by trends and prestige but by a realization about creativity and freedom.

He recognized that in traditional employment, there were limitations and boundaries.

Ideas had to be approved, experiments had to be sanctioned, and innovation had to get approval from people in authority.

Entrepreneurship was different.

It gave him the freedom to build systems from scratch and execute ideas without boundaries.

It was not an easy decision for him to make, though. There was a lot of risk involved in leaving behind a secure job to start a business from scratch. Yet, KanishqRaj believes that risk is a part of innovation.

As he says, “If you don’t execute an idea, someone else is going to execute it in your place.”

The Birth of Lotus Scientific Solutions

KanishqRaj’s entrepreneurial journey started in the medical distribution industry, specifically in IVF.

His entrepreneurial venture, Lotus Scientific Solutions, initially sought to address challenges in IVF medical distribution.

However, what he quickly realized was that it was not just IVF that had this problem but many different industries, including medical distribution itself.

There was a problem in the way things were done in many different industries, including medical distribution.

Many different industries, including medical distribution, relied on manual sales processes.

Hospitals would call in sales representatives to take their orders, and it had not really changed in decades.

KanishqRaj recognized that there was a problem with orders that could have been executed digitally but were instead dependent on physical interaction.

Instead of just improving the status quo in IVF medical distribution, he sought to create a system that could execute orders digitally.

And thus, LotusFlowAI was born.

Establishing the Infrastructure Layer – LotusFlowAI

Initially, LotusFlowAI was meant to be an internal platform for simplifying medical distribution.

However, the system soon expanded to integrate various positions in a service ecosystem.

These positions include:

• Customers
• Sales Representatives
• Administrators
• Distributors

A centralized workflow system allows for customer onboarding, order handling, distributor allocation, and analysis of purchase patterns.

Once a customer makes an order, they are taken through a defined process.

This order is handled by a sales representative who allocates it to a distributor. If this is not done within a certain period, the order is automatically assigned to a suitable distributor to ensure timely handling.

This is a common feature in most modern logistics systems but is still rare in industries dominated by human interaction.

However, this is something thatKanishq Raj believes will increasingly be required in various setups as they grow.

From Medical Logistics to EV Infrastructure

As Raj developed his infrastructure layer – LotusFlowAI – he started considering another industry in transition – electric vehicles.

In India, the EV market is developing rapidly. However, there is still a significant lack of charging infrastructure to support this growth.

Unlike in other countries where EV owners can charge their vehicles in public areas, in most parts of India, EV users find it difficult to locate charging points – especially outside metropolitan areas.

Additionally, setting up commercial EV charging points is quite costly.

However, this is something that KanishqRaj thought could be addressed using a unique solution based on the concept of a sharing economy.

Why not allow EV owners to share their charging points with others instead of relying on public charging points?

This gave birth to ChargeHive EV.

ChargeHive EV allows EV owners to make their home chargers available for other EV owners.

If you are an EV user, you can locate nearby chargers, connect with the charger owner, and charge your vehicle.

ChargeHive EV also provides an opportunity for EV owners to make money by renting out their chargers.

However, KanishqRaj didn’t stop at that.

He also noticed that EV owners would also need other services on the road.

These services would include:

towing
emergency services
roadside services

ChargeHive EV also provides this.

Through LotusFlowAI, service providers can also list services that can be accessed by Lotus customers.

These services can be listed based on the operating areas of the service provider.

If you are an EV user, you can request services, and the service will be directed to the appropriate distributor.

This combination of peer-to-peer services and infrastructure logistics differentiates ChargeHive EV from other EV charging services.

KanishqRaj’s vision for ChargeHive EVhas one major goal for ChargeHive EV.

He wants it to be something that every EV owner would need, not only for charging but also for other services.

A Founder Focused on Systems, Not Just Apps

What sets KanishqRaj apart is that he is not only building apps.

He is building systems.

ChargeHive EV provides the marketplace and infrastructure discovery layer.

LotusFlowAI provides the operational layer.

These two systems are what make ChargeHive EV different.

They are systems that allow infrastructure, services, and logistics to operate seamlessly.

This is what most founders who are developing platform businesses are doing.

Writing About Financial Independence

Apart from developing businesses, KanishqRaj has also been interested in financial independence.

He has written a book titled “The Financial Navigator,” in which he shares his insights and perspectives on navigating financial decision-making and independence.

This is yet another facet of KanishqRaj’s thought process—his focus on ownership and self-directed growth.

Just like entrepreneurship, financial independence is about creating assets and systems that create long-term stability.

For Kanishq, these ideas are very connected.

The Mindset Behind the Work

Raj describes his daily life in this manner:

“Work, sleep, and work again.”

As is the case for many founders in the early stages of creating companies, his life is about creating, developing, and problem-solving.

However, his inner monologue is not always easy. Every entrepreneur experiences moments of self-doubt. KanishqRaj is no different. “There are definitely moments where I want to quit. Quit everything. I mean, that thought definitely pops up in my head from time to time.” However, this is soon followed by another inner monologue that pushes him through those difficult times. “But then I remind myself that if I don’t build something meaningful, someone else will. And I want to own something.” This is yet another facet of his mindset, one that is based on his strong belief in this statement:

“If you don’t build something meaningful, someone else eventually will.”

The Vision: Building a Unicorn

KanishqRaj’s end objective for Lotus Scientific Solutions is obvious.

However, it is not just about building a company that reaches such a valuation.

For Kanishq Raj, it is about building infrastructure platforms for industries that are still using outdated technology.

Whether it is in the medical distribution business or the electric vehicle charging business, Raj sees tremendous potential for technology to change the status quo, replacing inefficiency with intelligence.

The Road Ahead

In the next five years, Kanishq raj sees ChargeHive EV as something that could become a necessity for electric vehicle owners, especially in markets where charging infrastructure is still in its infancy.

At the same time, LotusFlowAI has tremendous potential to become something more than just an AI platform for businesses that need to improve customer, sales, and distribution management.

ChargeHive EV and LotusFlowAI, as two separate platforms, are actually two parts of something much bigger.

KanishqRaj is not just building two software platforms.

KanishqRaj is building digital infrastructure layers for industries that are undergoing significant change.

And ifKanishq Raj is able to achieve his end objective, the technology that comes out of Lotus Scientific Solutions has the potential to change the way services, logistics, and infrastructure are connected across multiple industries.
