The idea for SkoolOfCode was born in the family, by noticing how much time cousins and friends spent chatting, playing, and engaging with screens. The founders valued the joy and bonding in those moments but also sensed an opportunity: what if a part of that time could be channeled into constructive, collaborative learning without losing the fun? The first “class” started as a small experiment with a couple of cousins learning Python together. The sessions quickly turned into a lively space for problem-solving, idea-sharing, and peer motivation, where children were excited to talk about what they had created rather than just what they had consumed.
Word spread naturally. As the young learners spoke enthusiastically to their friends, more children wanted to join, and parents were delighted to hear their kids asking to join an online coding class. When it became clear that some children were too young for text-based programming, SkoolOfCode introduced Scratch and other block-based platforms to make coding accessible, visual, and playful for early learners. What began as a cousins’ coding circle soon evolved into a structured program serving children from grades 1 to 12, with age-appropriate pathways in coding and computational thinking.
Over the years, SkoolOfCode has stayed true to its founding purpose: helping children develop a growth mindset from as early as six years of age. The curriculum is intentionally designed to do much more than teach syntax or tools. In every course, students are guided to break down problems, test ideas, debug mistakes, and try again, reinforcing the belief that abilities grow with effort and reflection. This approach has nurtured thousands of young learners, many of whom have stayed for several years, growing from curious beginners into confident creators and future-ready thinkers.
SkoolOfCode’s vision positions coding not merely as a technical skill but as a powerful medium to build resilience, logical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. Classes are conducted in small groups and 1-1, led by computer science experts, creating a safe and engaging environment where students learn from one another, present their projects, and gain confidence in expressing ideas. This model encourages self-motivation and consistency, children look forward to classes because they feel challenged, supported, and proud of what they build.
As artificial intelligence reshapes education and work, the founders have ensured that SkoolOfCode remains ahead of the curve while anchored in its core belief that coding is the engine behind meaningful use of AI. Recently, SkoolOfCode collaborated with Kenspark to introduce an AI-powered assessment platform that helps students revisit concepts through self-evaluation, instant feedback, and guided reinforcement. This combination of AI support and human-led teaching gives children a powerful loop of practice and reflection, boosting both competence and confidence. Alongside this, AI-focused modules have been woven into different levels of the program so that students learn to understand and harness AI, not just passively experience it.
Today, SkoolOfCode has grown into more than an online coding school; it is a community that turns consumers of technology into creators with a strong learner’s mindset. Their work continues to be driven by a simple yet profound conviction: when children learn to enjoy the process of thinking, experimenting, and improving, they carry that spirit into every challenge life brings.
