To build a strong foundation, he pursued his degree in Hotel Management from AIHM, Chandigarh. Not stopping there, he further deepened his knowledge by completing his Master’s in Tourism and Travel Management, which gave him a broader understanding of hospitality, guest experience, and the global food and travel industry. This mix of formal education and real kitchen experience shaped him into a well-rounded professional.

After completing his education, Mayank began his professional culinary journey with the renowned restaurant Indian Accent in New Delhi, one of the most celebrated modern Indian restaurants in the country. Working with such a prestigious brand at the beginning of his career gave him a strong platform to learn, grow, and master the craft of modern Indian cuisine. From there, his journey took him to global kitchens, where he worked with well-known restaurants such as Revolver in Singapore and Punjab Grill in Singapore. Each of these experiences enriched his understanding of international culinary standards, global palates, and the art of blending Indian traditions with world-class techniques.

Today, Mayank is working with HOMM in Mumbai as an Executive Sous Chef, where he continues to shape unique dining experiences through his creative approach to modern Indian cuisine. His work focuses on leading kitchen operations, developing creative menus, and delivering high-quality dining experiences for guests. He is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and food safety, while also encouraging innovation and team leadership within his kitchen. For him, running a kitchen is not just about cooking. It is about building a team, mentoring young chefs, and creating a culture where creativity and discipline can grow together.

Mayank’s cooking philosophy is deeply rooted in respect for authentic flavours combined with a bold desire to experiment. He strongly believes that food is more than just a meal.
