At the age of 42, Sandeep is the founder of Tishu Green Planet, an environmental initiative built on the belief that every individual can make a difference to the environment. Through Tishu Green Planet, he is not just distributing plants. He is planting the seeds of awareness, responsibility, and love for the environment in every home he reaches.
Sandeep’s environmental journey did not begin as a project. It began as a personal passion. His deep love for gardening and tree plantation slowly turned into a mission when he realised that just planting trees was not enough. Real change would come only when people understood the value of trees, felt emotionally connected to them, and took responsibility to nurture them. This clarity became the strong foundation of his environmental work. He is also grateful to share that he started this mission along with Mukesh Verma, whose early support and shared vision played an important role in shaping the foundation of Tishu Green Planet.
To make environmental conservation engaging and joyful, Sandeep launched one of his most heartwarming initiatives called “Pehchaano Paudha Ghar Le Jao.” This unique campaign invites people to identify a plant, learn about its importance, and take it home completely free of cost. What makes this concept so beautiful is that it makes plants feel personal. People do not just receive a sapling. They discover it, connect with it, and take responsibility for it. This idea has inspired thousands of families, students, and communities to become active plant lovers.
What makes Sandeep’s story even more inspiring is that he continues to run this large environmental movement alongside a full-time corporate career. He gives his evenings, weekends, and holidays to his mission. Through Tishu Green Planet, along with strong collaborations with schools, RWAs, nurseries, NGOs, and government organisations, his movement has grown significantly and reached hundreds of thousands of free plant distributions across communities. Today, this movement is powered by hundreds of amazing volunteers who selflessly contribute their time, love, and energy. Sandeep especially wishes to acknowledge Pankaj Verma bhaiya, Niraj Kumar, Sushil Kumar, Govind ji, Suryakant Dixit, Dinesh Kumar, Sonu, Sapan, Harshit, Sam, and many other wonderful team members, along with a few amazing nurseries whose consistent support has helped Tishu Green Planet grow into a true people’s movement.
Today, his mission is moving toward its next major milestone of distributing 10 lakh free plants and encouraging every citizen to become a Vriksh Mitra. He recently participated in the national Vriksh Mitra initiative led by Union Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, further strengthening his commitment to making environmental protection a people’s movement.
For Sandeep, environmental conservation is not a project. It is a way of life. He often shares that his biggest achievement is not the number of plants distributed, but the number of people who have started caring for nature because of his initiatives. Every campaign he leads focuses on awareness first and plantation second, because he believes that a tree only survives when there is education, ownership, and emotional connection behind every plantation.
Along with plantation drives, Sandeep actively promotes sustainable gardening, terrace gardening, waste management, and eco-friendly living. He uses workshops, digital platforms, and public events to educate people, guide families, and inspire the younger generation. He believes that if every family in India plants and nurtures even one tree, the country can collectively create a greener and healthier future.
Sandeep’s dream is bold yet deeply human. He wants every child to grow up understanding the value of trees, and every family to celebrate life’s special moments by planting one. When asked how he manages a corporate career with his mission, his answer is simple. Passion does not wait for free time. He does not measure success by awards or recognition. His true success is when someone plants their first tree, nurtures it, and inspires another person to do the same.
Last but not the least, Sandeep wholeheartedly expresses his gratitude to his parents, his wife Pooja, his children Tarushi and Agrim, and his entire family. He often shares that without their constant love, patience, and support, walking this mission alongside a full-time career would have been extremely difficult. Their belief in him has been one of the strongest quiet forces behind the growth of Tishu Green Planet.
