Kottayam, Kerala: In response to the rapidly evolving global landscape and the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education, a special training program was organized for B.Ed and M.Ed students at St. John the Baptist College of Education (SJB College), Nedumkunnam. The add-on program, titled “AI for Teachers,” was conducted under the leadership of Team Inspire from Srishti Innovative as part of their broader initiative, the “Samarth Shikshak Mission.”

The Samarth Shikshak Mission is a focused movement by Team Inspire, Srishti Innovative, aimed at empowering teachers and student teachers with practical AI skills at an affordable and reasonable cost. The mission envisions building a generation of technologically equipped educators who can confidently integrate AI into classrooms and reshape the future of learning.

The program was officially inaugurated by the College Administrator and Principal, Dr. (Fr.) Jojimon George, who emphasized in his inaugural address that adapting teaching methodologies through modern technology is the need of the hour. He highlighted that embracing innovation is essential for educators to remain relevant and impactful in today’s digital era.

The two-day offline training sessions were held in the college auditorium and led by AI experts from Srishti Innovative, Vishnu Prasad M.V. and Sujith Surendran. Nearly 60 AI tools were introduced to participants, focusing on simplifying lesson planning, creating engaging presentations within seconds, generating digital content, and enhancing classroom effectiveness. The sessions were highly practical and application-oriented, ensuring that future teachers gained hands-on experience rather than just theoretical knowledge.

Beyond the offline sessions, Team Inspire also assured continued learning support through recorded video modules, allowing students to revisit concepts and strengthen their understanding.

The training emphasized how AI enables educators to move beyond traditional teaching approaches toward personalized learning, where instruction can be tailored to each student’s learning capacity and pace. AI tools also support faster evaluation, structured feedback, and more efficient academic planning. As education transitions from blackboards to digital screens and now to AI-powered learning environments, the trainers underscored the urgent need for future educators to master emerging technologies.

Through the Samarth Shikshak Mission, Team Inspire, Srishti Innovative continues to take meaningful steps toward making classrooms more innovative, creative, and student-centered — preparing teachers not just for today, but for the future of education.
