1 . How you Started?
I come from a farming family and we had very little land. And it was not enough to support our family.When I started my career, my father and mother were 70-75 years old.After my marriage, I started working as a time keeper in Lupin-Pharma company.My salary at that time was 700-800 rupees, so I couldn’t live on this salary and I was also responsible for my father and mother.When I started farming after marriage, I had to take a bus to the village for farming.At that time, there was an officer working in LIC from our village on the bus. He advised me that if I wanted to earn a little more, I should become an LIC agent.Because you are in the HR department and everyone in a big company will know you.So you won’t need to go looking for customers.And during this time, people preferred LIC more for Tax Planning and Housing Loans.And invest in NSC in the post.I took over the LIC agency in 1992, after which I started a scheme in the company where the LIC premium is deducted directly from the salary.That means my second monthly income had started.In 3 to 4 years, 300 to 400 people took out policies.And there was also a good commission earn.I left Lupin in 2010 and started my own office.In 2010, I left Lupin and started my own office. and in 2014 I started the Mutual Fund business.And the current situation is that the earnings of mutual funds have become more than those of LIC.That’s how I started my career.
2. What’s your Turning Point?
At my turning point, in the year 2013-2014, a Branch Manager from N J Wealth distributor came to meet me in the office. He showed me the calculation of a Mutual Fund, that if a customer invests in LIC for 25 years and invests in SIP for 25 years, then how big his portfolio becomes. That is, if a customer stay invested in Mutual Fund for 25 years, then he makes more money in Mutual Fund than LIC. And also, your brokerage will be much more than LIC’s commission. After that, I started the Mutual Fund business, and currently have an AUM of 40 crores and a monthly income of Two lakhs comes from mutual fund.
3. How you Are Helping / Changing LIfestye?
First, I check the risk profile of each customer and show them where they should invest in LIC or Mutual Funds. Then I show them many Goal-based calculations. Then there are many categories in Mutual Funds and I make them invest in different funds according to the Present Market Situation. I have also made my own Apps in mutual funds. I give them proper guidance on how to invest in mutual funds, in which fund to invest, etc. Then there is also a Goal Tracker, so I show them the current status of the purpose for which they have invested in Mutual Funds, and whether it is worth increasing it to reach the Goal or not. I send each customer a valuation reports every month in the mail. At the end of the year, I also send them a profit and loss statement to file their income tax return. This means that after-sales service is taken care of properly. We try to provide a solution to every client’s problem within 24 hours. I currently have 650 customers, 80 to 90 percent of them are satisfied customers and they also give me references.
4. What’s your Mission?
My current mission is to make my AUM 100 crores in the next Four to Five years. Also, my mission is to have a portfolio of 25 top clients worth one crore in the next four to five years.
